We have recently been redoing our kitchen and here are pictures of the walnut top I made for the island in our kitchen.

I used Zinnser sealcoat to fill the grain and Waterlox Original Sealcoat for the finish.

Nice work. The color of the base cabinet is perfect with the walnut too.

Just curious. Where did you get the Walnut, and how much was it ?

Thats a really gorgeous island and great job on the finishing of the top.

Now you’ve done it! My wife wants an island. Great work!

RoninOhio – I purchased the walnut from an individual in the Milford area. I found him on craigslist.

Mike the walnut countertop looks great! I like the contrast in the painted cabinet colors as well.

That countertop is NICE! Love the grain patterns.

I so wish my wife liked glossy surfaces. I’m doomed to only have satin finishes.
