We found a rather old wrought iron table base and removed the old top.
I had in my stock some 5/4 blocks (18” x 26”) of soft maple and made a new top for the base w/ the soft maple and Paduak inlay and trim. The soft maple had some really nice marbleing and it really popped with some Danish oil and Renaissance wax.
