Made this wall of different types of wood to help in identifaction, and see what type of wood work well together on different projects. Pieces can easily be removed shuffeled around and replaced. Also left some room to add new ones. I try to keep most of the woods on the wall in stock, and not display any not readily avaliable in my area.

Great idea with interchangeable pieces. Something everyone could use right in front of them.

Ditto to what AandCstyle says…...very good idea. Beats having scraps lying around stained with different shades and finishes, then trying to find any notes you made on the wood….that’s if you can even find your samples., etc.

Brilliant idea! It also makes the shop have different looks and colors, must be fun to shuffle the wood pieces and get the best combination.

What a great idea.
Damn nice.

How’d you mark the wood type on the planks.. sharpie or engraved with a router or engraving pen?
