Matching bathroom cabinets, built from plans in Wood magazine (June/July, 2005).
These are poplar, painted with a satin enamel.
The tricky part here was the light fixture over the sink. Nothing was centered over the plumbing fixtures in this bathroom, and the fixture wouldn’t clear the top of the cabinet. Rather than install sconces on both sides of the cabinet or try to find a new fixture, I built a simple box and trimmed it out with the same moulding and beadboard the cabinets themselves have.
Hate those squiggly light bulbs!
