My first segmented turning

This is my first shot at a segmented turning. It was much easier than I had anticipated. I have noticed that segmented turners always give a piece count so, there are 146 pieces involved. Padauk & maple and Walnut & Hickory. Then a walnut top and bottom. I put a stainless steel insert from Woodcraft inside. But the finish must not have been as dry as I thought because it will not come out.

It is not a terribly good fit. I would do some things differently next time but it was fun and I am sure there will be a next time (since the pieces are already gluing up in the shop).

So beautiful segmented vessel! Like the unique pattern and the wood colors. The walnut top and bottom set it off. Looking forward to more segmented turnings.
