Custom hand shaped walnut newel posts. Hand scraped beads, hand carved and stippled back grounds on the caps. One half post and one full post with a curved handrail. The handrail is a custom shape and is 3 1/2” x 3 1/2”, the posts are 4 1/2” square.

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful. It’s good to see a fine woodworker engaging in commerce, while still creating works of art.

Les,

We’ve been missing your work here. We suppose you’ve been awfully busy. I just drew up the design for the newel posts I want my husband to lathe, but they’re certainly nothing like yours. So now he asked if I’ve changed my mind on how I want them made. I don’t want to wait another year or two to get them, so I think I’ll stick with the simpler design. ;-) (And they’re for an investment property so we’d have to double the price to cover the cost of holding it another couple of years to get the posts done!)

Yours are really spectacular. What will the spindles look like? Are you making those, too? We can’t begin to imagine the time and talent involved to make something so beautiful.

I don’t get on here that much anymore, just because life gets in the way. But sometimes posts like this makes me glad I did. Hahaha. They all are amazing! It’s always great to see your work!
