This is a table i just built for my granddaughter alana, she is only 2 right now, but i want to make my grandchildren an heirloom gift from there grandpa and i want to get them done while i know i have my health, this table is made from some beautiful slabs of Cypress, walnut, mahogany and cherry, the joinery is open mortise and tenon and the plugs are walnut and cherry, the joinery is all pinned with maple dowel and i sprayed the finish on, 2 coats of polyurathane, i loved doing this as i love my granddaughter, and want her to have something special, thank you for looking in and thank you for any comments made. grizzman!https://s3.amazonaws.com/lumberjocks.com/mn0l2xv.jpg!

You old softee Grizz, you know how to spoil the kids.
This is a lovely looking & beautifully made piece for Alana & I am sure she will look after it with the same dedication as you have put into the making.
I love the contrast of the timbers, Well done
Pete

Cool design and beautiful jpb on the build.

Alayna will be telling her grandkids: “My grampa Grizz built this for me back in ‘13”

You have made one of the items that the future grandkids will all be fighting over, grandpa I want one too.
Very nice use of different woods.

Bob,
How wonderful to know that she will think of you every time she uses this table. As she grows, so will her feeling for you and the love you put into this.
