All poplar. Black stained poplar for the spindles. My wife’s father brought the marble top back from Europe after WWII but it’s cast iron stand was cutting up our carpets and gouging the wood floors. So I built a table around it. It’s pegged mortise and tennon construction. Satin Polly finish.

I like the tennons showing. Great job on correcting the problems with the old table. Good project.

Very nicely done—really good looking table.

Fine looking table and looks very sturdy. Like the great joinery and the wood colors. The marble goes well with the wood. It will last for a long time to be enjoyed by the whole family.
