A few years ago, my wife asked me for a curio cabinet for her tea cup collection. A week before Christmas I asked her to come out in the shop and see what I had made. She shook her head and said “Curio cabinet, not china cabinet!”. Needless to say, I also had the curio cabinet done by Christmas. Both were made of African Mahogany. The china cabinet is finished with a light stain, and waterbased poly. The curio cabinet was finished with BLO and a couple coats of wax.

Well, both look nice, but for my money I’d go with the china cabinet, very impressive. Guess it pays to clarify what the customer expects, after all as they say: “the customer is always right.

They both look great and well crafted especially the china cabinet. Like the wood choice and the design. Great work!
