A customer had asked the wife for a couple of keep sake boxes for her two boys and sent us a pic of a tiny music box. I took the pic and expanded the dimensions and came up with these two boxes. I made them the hard way with a floating bottom and later added the mitered trim to match the lid. The boxes have dovetailed corners made with the General Tools dovetail jig. The dovetails on these boxes were my best by far, very tight fit. The boxes are stained with a couple coats of poly. The wood is poplar and the dimensions are 12 long X 8 deep X 6.5 high. My wife added their names with vinyl and I poly’d over the top. Enjoy the pics, Tony

The boxes came out really nice – well done. That finish is outstanding.
