My wife and I saw a table similar to this that we liked but I just couldn’t justifiy buying it since I felt like I could make something similar out of real wood instead of veneered MDF. I am new to wood working and thought this would be a good way to expand my skill set.

I made this out of 6/4 Ribbon cut african mahogany. For finishing i had used BLO then a coat of dewaxed shellac, than topped it all of with Arm R Seal.
