Another stand for my mom

My mom had some knick knacks and didn’t have anywhere to put them so she asked me to make a stand for her. I came up with this design, with some input from her and it turned out nicely. I used red oak and birch dowels for attaching the bottom shelf and to add some contrast (as shown in third picture). I also routed an ogee profile around the top and rounded over the outside edges of the legs to soften it up and look more decorative. 2 coats red oak stain and 3 coats of wipe-on poly.

Thanks for taking a look!

Nice looking stand Ben, I’m sure mom will love it. Unique way of attaching the bottom shelf.

Thanks guys!

The thought just came to me to build it that way and I knew it wouldn’t be holding a lot of weight so it wouldn’t be a problem.

Thanks white, wanted to make the legs different than my other stands so I went with curved ones to change things up.
