Handprint cutting board

I only had the time to take pictures of the finished product. Made this little guy out of Eucalyptus. I traced the boys hands, transferred that to the board, carved the outline and then used a wood burning pen to make it pop. Finished with some butcher block oil (citrus and mineral oil) but I think I might give something a little more durable such as a salad bowl style varnish a try.

That looks great.
My advice, (worth what you pay), is that if it’s a wall hanger, put the salad finish on it. If it is to be a user, add more mineral oil. Knives and hard finishes don’t survive well.
