My mother in law came up with a good idea. She thougt it would be nice for the kids with a simple swing that could be hanged in one of the many trees on her property. I had just disassembled a pallet from some kind of unidentified deciduous type of wood so one of the biggest planks came in handy. I first glued up the planks and then routed the circle with a circular jig. The final diameter is about 10’’. I added two slats to the bottom to add some stability. Finally I applied two layers of outdoor varnish. The swing now hangs in a large birch and the kids seem to like it.

Thanks for a good idea. I need to make one of these for the kids to enjoy on our camping property.
