Project Information

First job for Johnson & Sons Custom Woodworking! Designed, built and finished by Matt Johnson (me). Hard to see in the photos but the customer wanted a distressed finish to match her dining room table. I have to admit it hurt to distress this piece, but she absolutely loved it, which makes you feel so good! I applied a custom matched solvent based stain and put three nice coats of Antoni Post catalyzed lacquer!

WOW. Looks great. Really a quality piece.
Also noticed the wooden hot-rod in the background of photo #3… How cool is that?!

Thank you all for the great comments! The LJ community is full of great people!

Vahid, its a NC post Catalyzed by Antoni, in my opinion the best finish I've used in my 16+ years as a finisher, not sure you can still get it, it was manufactured in Canada but not sure they still exist. My supplier just happened to have a stock pile of it.
