This is a hope chest that I made for my daughter a few years back. I have since then made a few more for friends and relatives. They are lined with fabric and braid, and carved with roses. I also have this model carved with ducks that I made for a toy box.

This is a wonderful chest,I really like the proportions and design . This is what I would call refined country. Great job.

That is really nice. I have always wanted to do two of these for my daughters but didn’t want them to be big and bulky. Can I ask what the dimensions are on this one. I promise I won’t steal your rose idea.

Hello Bullhead 1
The chest is 29” wide by 16” deep and 22” high. I really don’t mind if you copy the roses. They are carved with a hand held rotary tool and a 5/16” carving bit. They have a nice look but are easy to carve. I am working on a video with my son, he is the computer king around here, on how to carve a rose with a dremel. Have anice day.
