I had some small pieces of Cocobolo, Wenge, Ash, and a small piece of Ceder, so it smells good, left over from my other projects and could not get my self to burn the wood. So I made a box and the wife loves it. not quite square, not quite perfect, but made with love. Who am I kidding. I just messed up a cut and got it as close as I could after the fact. As long as the wife likes it, then it is perfect.
I used shiney brass sewing machine hinges as the wife likes shiney things.
My next project is a chest of draws with stair posts for the legs. I know the owner of a stair Mfg and he had four 48 inch Maple end posts left over from some job. So I got them for $20.00 for all four. His cost. I just cut a quarter out of them so I can put some panels in them. Had to make the table saw fence longer for this one job but all is well. It should be done in about 2-3 months.

Great box.
Good use of scraps, I hate to burn any wood and even watch the fire wood I get for pieces.
