Made this box a few years ago out of pine for a Christmas present for my girlfriend. This was the first project I ever completed. I am planning on rebuilding another one making a few changes to make it look a bit better.

All four sides were were scrolled out which was quite the learning experience since I’d never scrolled before, but was wicked educational. Took forever to finish, felt like it would never End.

Thanks for looking. Any suggestions for some changes would be greatly appreciated.

Mike.

For a first project you really nailed it. Outstanding box.

my suggestion is to make another and then another and then another as you have some mad skills.

Very nice work—especially for a first project.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I think I am still going to rebuild it with using some cherry wood. I also plan to have the boards not quite as thick. When I built this I didn’t have a thickness planer or a drum sander.
