When building my last rocking chair. I made up the carved seat only to realize there was cracks on the inside of the boards. I don’t believe it would break but i did not want to send it out this way. So I made a new seat for that rocker. Witch left me a carved seat and the need for a stool in my shop. So i worked up a design using the seat and here she is. It is made of cherry with some curly cherry parts. The back is a bent lamination. The finish is just poly. Thanks for looking.

With a stool that nice and comfortable, you may not get much work done (unless you can do it sitting down ;)

I agree, that’s the fanciest shop stool in existance! The back looks fragile but I’m thinking it’s a lot stouter than it appears?
