This is a simple box that I built to sell on my Etsy site. It is finished with a crackle paint and has a secret compartment to hide all those love letters, pictures, and whatnot. I had originally made two of these boxes one for each of my daughters, and carved their initials on the covers.

Very nice box Eugenie. I too like things with hidden compartments. I have never tried designing my own yet and have trouble finding plans out there. Your work is tremendous.

I like the combination of the carving and crackle!

Excellent box, I too would like to learn the art of carving. Compliments.

Neat box. Looks like an “instant antique” :-)

You do realize that with the white loop in there, the “secret compartment” isn’t very secret? LOL

Beautiful box, Eugenie.

Hello Joe, You are absolutely right about the ribbon, but since I don’t really have any deep dark secrets, it doesn’t really matter. I could always tuck the ribbon in to be more secretive when I become a Spy or actually get a love letter. Ha Ha
