Cracked Bandsaw Box

I just recently finished this box. I made it out of walnut. I should say it is partially finished as the inside of the drawers are not lined yet. This box is the first and only bandsaw box I have attempted and it was a bit of a challenge I must admit. I will be making another in the future and hopefully when I have more experience it will turn out way better.

First Band Saw box you say…you sure did pick one of the hardest to make. You will find other designs do not take nearly as much time. I also have made this design several times. You should be proud of this lovely box.

” and hopefully when I have more experience it will turn out way better.” Surely you must be kidding! This is off the charts execution and design. Jaw dropping WOW!

I am going to attempt a bandsaw box soon. I like how nicely the back looks. Great job.

Well thank you for the great comments. I am new to this and really do feel I lack experience, there are some really fantastic projects on this site and some really professional results and I just don’t see that in my work yet I guess but I certainly do appreciate the encouraging comments though. Makes me think I am on the right track that’s for sure.

I’ve seen quite a few of these ‘cracked’ bandsaw boxes and yours is as nice as any I’ve seen.

Could you add the dimensions to your post, please.

Impecable wood selection… particularly for the back. It says a lot about a craftsman when even the back side of a piece looks fantastic.

I love the style and craftsmanship of this band saw box. You did a great job! I have been wanting to make one of these for a long time now. Where would I get the pattern for it?

If you do a search online for BS boxes the design for the Cracked box will show up along with a pattern
