Is this the book?

I couldn’t find one on the search by the name you listed.

Great work, I want to build a set for my new great grandson!

It’s actually “The Great Book of Wooden Toys” by Norm Marshall and Bill Jones. The American came from a different book I have. That’ll teach me to guess rather than verify! :)

I did make a couple modifications to the tractor and trailer, adding the grill, moving the headlights to the fenders, adding fuel tanks and adding a folding ramp to the trailer. Then to give the crane something to do I made the crates out of some scrap.

Great build man, I also make a line of “play with” toys. They are my most rewarding when I give them to a child.

G’day Dan,
I love the Norm Marshall plans in that book and you’ve certainly done the truck & drop deck trailer a great justice as well as that beaut crane. I’ve built a couple of the trucks plus used the basic plan to do me own but am yet to build the crane. You may well have given me the encouragement I needed after seeing how good yours looks, well done

-- Lifes good, Enjoy each new day...... Cheers from "On Top DownUnder" Crowie
