Rack has 3/4” cabinet ply backing and white oak for everything else. Self designed to accommodate 5 cues although I currently only have the 2. This was my third project (was going to post in order but realized something else I would like to do to finish the 2nd).
This was the first project made after attaining a router so of course all of the joints are rabbet/dadoe’s and had a good time rounding over corners etc. The triangle mount was just a touch excessive being a solid oak block 3 1/2” deep but was part of a gluing experiment and with some routing/sanding does a good job of keeping the triangle secure as well as provide a small shelf for chalk etc.
This project was intended to remain small in size as space is a serious commodity. I did debate on making space for the pool balls but as these store nicely in the table itself I decided against it. Wanted to try wood burning so I put on the Vize’s Billiards, darts, lounge, drink. Have done additional burning with an inexpensive $8 ish WalMart special and remain simply amazed at those able to create art through burning. Do wonder if the pro models make use any more efficient.
Anyway, there is my pool cue rack. Thanks for looking
