Here is a cabinet I am just finishing up. I have a wide assortment of wood species but not really a lot of any one in particular so I ended up having to mix and match. I used walnut, padauk, carub, elm, cherry, qs white oak, eucalyptus, beech, and one small piece of hickory. It has been a fun build with a lot of learning involved. The doors were a pain in the butt to get straight, my dovetails finally lined up nicely on the case, and I need to spend some quality time learning the details of door construction. I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with it, I’ll have to see what my wife thinks when it gets inside the house.

22” Wide
19” Deep
32” Tall
69” Tall with the stand

Now it’s time to build my chevalet. Rustynails: I’ll have a check in the mail soon.

It’s certainly unusual as well as being a nice eye catcher.

nice cabinet. I like the design and the way you have mixed and matched the various woods.

Thanks for the comments, gents. It turned out a little different than originally planned and I haven’t decided if I really like it or not. We’ll see if it grows on me.
