My first commissioned project! I was asked to build a dog bowl/feeding stand in a bone shape. This is what I came up with. I am very pleased with the way it turned out and got to try a few new techniques I have been wanting to try while at it. I made a simple circle cutting jig for my palm router which was used to cut the bowl holes and it worked out perfectly. Splines were added to the miters on the corners to strengthen the legs, and the top was doweled on. Not one screw, nail, staple, fastener. 100% wood and glue (ok ok, and two steel bowls). :)

Wood is pine and the splines are mahogany.

It was a fun build. I may have to make more of these…

Very cool Stan, Like the colors and the shape. I made a few of these for friends and charity auctions as well. These are fun and always big hits! Dog Dish
