Stumpy finger joint jig

Well, after building woodgears.ca’s finger joint jig, I had so much fun I just had to build Stumpy’s.

I made it with a few deviations, though. First picture is the jig from the front, and in the second picture you can see I made the template out of Lexan instead of aluminum, as well as added a ruler and cursor. I also welded a coupler to the quick release rod instead of going the epoxy/nut route.

Anyway, more details and a comparison with the woodgears.ca finger jig on this page if you are curious.

Thanks for looking,

Looks really slick for a jig
I never get round to tidying up my jigs they look as if they were
made by a two year old blindfolded.

Thanks, Ben, for that feedback – I guess the brightness on my monitor was turned up much more than yours as I barely see the lines. I was going for a “notebook” look, but sure didn’t want to make it hard to read. I just tweaked it a bit – If you try it now, it is better? You will have to refresh your browser’s page cache to see any change.
