Quick little project for my iPhone. Glued up a blank of oak, bandsawed the profile, routed for the charger, and sanded. Finished with a thin coat of wipe on poly. Thought about drilling out a couple slots for weights in the bottom to allow for one handed undocking. Maybe on the next one.

Nice! I especially like the fact that you can dock it with the protective sleeve on. how did you fix the plug in the dock?

After cutting the dock to size and shape on the bandsaw I tilted the table to 10 deg and ripped off the front of the dock. If you look very closely you can see the joint were I glued it back on. After ripping off the front I used my router table and a straight bit to cut the profile of the plug as well as the slot for the phone. I then superglued the plug onto the wood and glued the font back onto the dock.

Pretty neat project! Simple build but functional.
