Here’s another wee project to keep me off the streets !!
My kids have recently taken a liking to porridge (must be the Scottish blood) and I realized we didn’t have a spurtle (traditional stick for stirring/making porridge, if anyone was unsure), we’d been using a wooden spoon….how uncouth !!
The bottom 2 are traditional models and the top one is my modern take on it…....a kind of spurtle/spatula hybrid….maybe call it a “spurtula”!
Made from beech – which is great as it has anti-bacterial properties – and finished with a quick wipe of mineral oil.

Another string to that bow! I need to diversify I think! I like the “spurtula”, great work. I lioke the trad scottish thistle top to the traditional ones too. Nice and discrete. Great work,

Garry

Thanks, Charles…....we all eat porridge in this house, so it’s a traditional item that will be used.
Cheers, Gordon
