I posted my lumber storage cart project a couple of weeks ago and was really happy that I had so many comments and views.
I thought I’d follow that project up with an excellent purchase of lumber scraps from a local hardwood supplier. I was able to fill my cart (sans plywood of course on the back side of the cart) with a healthy supply of Walnut, cherry, maple, padauk and a little jatoba. What’s better is that ALL of the hardwood materials you see in the photo cost me $50!
Time to make lots of cutting boards and tea light holders with my kids! I’ll probably find some excellent pen blank scraps in here too!
If you’re looking for cheap scrap materials, go to a lumber supplier and ask them if they have scrap cut offs they are planning on throwing away. I was really amazed with the material spread.
More project photos will be coming soon now.
