Ipad case for my son

I showed my son Wood Magazine which had this project in it and he asked if I’d mind making one for him. “Mind”, I showed you it hoping you’d ask for one! Quick and easy project, fits perfectly QSWO as always. I’ve seen plenty of covers for ipads, but not many that can actually close like a book. Most are just holders where the ipad sits in it. This one holds and conceals the ipad when closed or you can hold it like a book or set it on a flat surface opened. All critiques welcomed.

Need to make one of these for my android. Keeps turning itself on in my backpack.

I like how it folds into a stand, may have to give this a shot.

Dabcan, there is a small lip maybe 1/2” at the “bottom” that holds it in place. There is no velcro or straps, it pretty much just sits in it. You can see the “lip” in photo #3. Thanks for the comments.
Gianni, you’ll have to make a couple dimension changes but other than that it’ll be the same. Good Luck and please post if you do make one.

Paul, I saw this project in Wood and considered building it. Thanks for being the guinea pig! Now I’m pretty sure I’ll take this one up once I have the time. Great build…

I must have missed it, what issue of Wood is it in?

Looks great, I want to make one for my daughter.

Thanks for all the comments everyone!. A good weekend project, cut and assemble, stain one day, protective coat the next! It is in issue #214 October 2012, page 60 to be exact. Just finished a second one for a double cousin, hoping to get more orders.
