This is a plaque I made for a great guy who retired from our company after 21 years of service.

The brass piece on the left is the base of an old water meter I had worked on by local jewelers.

The wrench on the right was custom made for him 50+ years ago and had his nick name welded on.

The meter base is secured with the original bolts and I drilled and tapped holes in the wrench to mount it.

The company logo was done by Big Island Engraving.

The wood is Mango with Ohia bow tie inlays. I used minwax fruit wood stain and spray on lacquer finish.

I had a lot of fun putting this together. Thanks for looking.

I’m sure this will be a cherished gift.

Like the natural and raw look of the materials. It makes a great and thoughtful gift, very creative. Well done!
