This was my first stab at a chess board. I ended up donating this one to a kid’s chess club for an auction to raise money for a trip to a chess tournament. It is made from walnut frame, with maple and oak for the board.
Now I need to learn how to turn to make the pieces, it just doesn’t look right with those cheap plastic pieces on there. ;)

It is a lovely job. It would be nice to have permission from the designer and owner of the copyright to make this. I do. Not trying to be negative but if someone comes up with a great idea he/she has the right to own it under western law
