A friend in my woodturning class gave me a chunk of Bradford Pear because he was completely bored with it. I think he had turned almost a whole trees worth. I rough turned it about 4 months ago and got impatient and finish turned it over the weekend.
Some bug must have snacked on it before I got it, there were some tunnels in the wood that I had to dig the loose sawdust out of.
Finished with Deft Satin.
Bowl is 5” in diameter and 3” high.

very pretty wood…when you say a “bug” do you mean those indentations in the wood??? they actually look cool…but in the photo you cant tell their depth…

I like the size and shape. the color is cool and the worm/bug holes add an interesting effect.
