This Halloween Man (Max III) was constructed in 2003. This is the third generation of Max. Max is built of pine and has a speaker and microphone in his head. His chest has a cavity for my electronic controls. He is housed in the barn but once a year we bring him out and he rides around in the back seat of my 1970 VW convertible on Halloween. The kids get a kick of talking to him and are shocked when he talk back. I change faces every year or two. He is made so that he can wear my old clothes. Max I was sold for an offer I could not refuse and Max II was stolen.

Neat…... need to put some little motors and some servos on him and he could stand up and scare the kids on Halloween!

Nice! Do you have plans for this by chance? There is a website called halloweenmonsterlist.info where there are a ton of halloween prop plans. If your willing, I’m sure there are lots of halloween makers that would love to see this! Great job! My halloween man is just PVC covered in an old costume. I need to rebuild him, as he is deathly thin…

No Plans, I just measured my elbow, knee etc. and cut to approximately length. Of course he is a little thinner than I am now.

Cool build on that Halloween man. A fun and great way to scare kids or interest them in wood working.

He seems to be a “Square” :)
Do they even say that anymore or am I dating myself?

He seems to be a nice friend to have around the house. You’ll always have someone to talk to. Nice work.
