First pic is of all the pens I still have in my inventory. I have limited shop time so I have a small collection. I am pretty happy with the variety of pens I do have though. I am in my first craft show this coming Saturday and luckily my dad is the one with the booth (boxes, cutting boards, and toys) and he is letting me put my pens out.
The second pic is a black walnut pen I did using part of a blank my dad made. The stripes are detailed in the third pic. He glued some maple and walnut laminate in a saw kerf and I turned it. I really like how it turned out.
The third pen is my first attempt at using aluminum in maple. Just wanted to see what it would look like. I was surprised at how easy it turns. I have some designs already glued up using a combination of aluminum, credit card material and other pieces of laminate. Hopefully I’ll get some shop time this week before the show and get a few more turned.
