I built a couple of these a few months ago. It was super easy to build…did my pocket screws without a jig and that was the most difficult part of the build. It would be very easy to throw a couple of these together in an afternoon.
And they look fantastic in the house. The bottom shelf is high enough to vacuum under the there is enough space behind the shelf for my old dog to roost.
The shelves are poplar and the side supports are 1×4 pine. Stained these with an English Chestnut stain and waxed them. (not a fan of poly)...
