At work, I have a trainee that is a Tinkerbell fan. And it so happens, her dad is kinda eccentric and has a castle in his backyard that he saved from an job that he was doing many years ago where they took down a miniature golf place. Well, 2+2 and Princess Tinkerbell she was dubbed. When she found out I dabbled in woodworking, she asked me to make her something as a graduation gift if and when she passed her field training with me. So, I made these. They are Purpleheart (purple being the royal color) with maple inserts. They are finished in CA, to try to seal the purple heart from browning from skin oils, and Hut’s PPP. I still need to leave them in the sun a little to bring out the purple color, but they are done.

I like the combination of the maple and purpleheart.
I assume she’s happy with the gift…

Nice project. You should send her some of the shavings to use as pixie dust.

Pixie dust…I love it….I have a bunch of little bags left over from the kit…will scrape some shaving from under the lathe tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.

Princess Tinkerbell. Funny stuff. My daughter has a bear called the same. She’s into the whole dress up princess thing. At 3, I’m thinking she’s a bit younger than your trainee. Nice work.
