Turned from a square blank of amazaque (no, I’ve never heard of it either!). Finished with cellulose and briwax.

Very nice work on the bowl. Beautiful wood but just because you don’t know what it is don’t mean you have to make up a name for it. (just kidding) So how did you happen across a blank piece of amazaque? I’ve never heard of it either. (neither has my spell checker)

Apparently it’s also known as ovangkol, it’s an African timber. My brother bought me the blank for my birthday.
