I have been tip toeing around wood working for a while being left in awe of the amazing projects i have seen around the web and the amazing skills being demonstrated. So I finally decided enough was enough and got off the sidelines and start learning. So I’m gonna start scratch and see where this saw dust dream takes me. Hopefully I’ll learn along the way and get some results.

So i thought i would really get further into wood working and build my young daughter something nice and be able to appreciate for years to come. So in deciding what to build i looked back into my own child hood and found it, Mr Dress Ups Tickle Trunk. It instantly seemed like a great idea but as a amatuer wood working i may have bitten off a little more than I thought. Not only did i have to construct the round top chest it would need to be paint then upholstered and then decal painted. But if i dont challenge myself how will I get any better but is it a challenge when its so relaxing and fun?

Great job, it is an exact replica!

A really nice looking chest. I am betting she loves it.

Lovely and very colorful chest! Like the classic design and the decals. Daughter will treasure this for sure.
