It looks like a large drum stick and it pretty much is… coming in at just under 19” it’s pretty useful for tall stock pots. I did learn however that I should have subjected the stick to water while still on the lathe so that I could knock back the fibers that crept up.

Thanks! I did more sanding than I care to admit, but it turned out well and I’m happy with it :)
