I wanted to make something for their new house and, well, this seemed like a good thing to give them. An apple a day…..might work for their new house too! LOL.
This is made from two inch thick poplar planks. Polished and sanded with beeswax and mineral oil. The stem is a fancy shmancy dowel I bought a while ago. The bowl is probably around 5” wide and 4’ high.
I had a lot of fun making this knowing it was going to a good home.

I really like that bowl. I can’t wait until I can actually make something like that. I’m still in the practicing on pine stage. How long have you been turning?

It’s wonderful. They will love it.

I have only been turning for a few months. I just have no fear and will try and do just about anything haha. I will post some pictures of the rings I have made. I just love to fiddle in my garage.
