I made this Lichterbogen (lighted scene) from a pattern designed by Volker Arnold. It is made from 1/4” Baltic birch plywood and a string of 15 white Christmas lights. I finished it with some polyurethane just to make it easier to dust..

Beautiful!!!!!!!! I saw things like this when I was in Germany 12 years ago visiting Kathe Wohlfahrt’s Christmas store in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. I just had to have one and had it sent back to the states. It has been a part of my Christmas tradion ever since and I have plans to make some for my kids.
