11 LAYERS CUT FROM 1/4” WALNUT. HAND SANDED AND SHAPED. BURNED WITH PENCIL TORCH TO HIGHLIGHT. GLUED AND CLAMPED. SPRAYED WITH SIMI-GLOSS. MOUNTED ON DRIFT WOOD AND WALNUT BASE.

The detail is amazing! I especially love the detailing on the fur at the front of the magnificent beast.

WOW, very nice. I see there is a horse in one of the pictures. Is the horse put together the same way? Great looking finished piece of art!

Beautiful work. Quite an interesting technique to make a sculpture/carving. the result is very nice.

i bet you have all the time in this world for this wonderful hobby and that is woodworking..

perhaps this project of yours will be the last to be auctioned at Sotheby’s 100 years from now..
