My daughters Fiance’ is a hunter, and is particularly fond of Turkey hunting. I was not familiar with these, but you rub the tip of this across a piece of slate or other material, and it creates a sound. Apparently different woods, and different sizes and shapes produce a slightly different frequency, so you can never have too many. He brought me a sample to copy, and I made some with dogwood, cherry, walnut, and oak. fun and quick project.
The one on the far right in pic one is the factory made sample he bought in a store.
