Red and white oak and red oak ply with 1/4” curly cherry for the side inserts. You can read the construction details on my blog here (the final part will be posted tomorrow):

Once my son is a bit older and less likely to fall into a corner I’ll move the table upstairs where the scale will better fit the much larger living room. Overall, I’m pleased with the table. I tried several new techniques; and while not everything is as perfect as I’d like; I learned new skills that will make for better projects in the future.

Those lifts are really cool. What did you pay for that lift?

Rockler sells one as well but it is $190:

Very nice job!
I’d like to make one of these, but my wife doesn’t want to encourage anyone to eat in front of the television. :-(

Great! I was hoping to see more finish photos. I just found these after seeing your latest blog.
I enjoyed watching the progress of this one.
The family should enjoy this for many years to come.

Very nice design. Nice job building it also.
