My attempt at an Andy art box. A friend of mine asked me to make him a watch box. After researching I found Andy’s tutorial.

I actually made two simultaneously. This one is made from mahogany with walnut inserts and dovetails. I followed his tutorial and tried to make my hands do what my eyes could see. Wow did I learn a lot! Had to make a few jigs to make this and the other one. These took me about 3 months to make with the few hours each week that I have.

Sometimes taking extra time to complete a project is a blessing. We’re often tempted to rush through our work. Allows us to think it out better. You did a nice job on this.

I’m with Monte, Nice work. I’m thinking the pictures don’t do it justice.

Hey Andy posted a new box. Something we all can aspire to?

Keep up the great work!
