Hi Lidiya. Another wonderful carving. I really like the texture that your have carved into the moustache and the beard. He has a wonderful looking face.

I am not very good at making many posts here, but I have to say that I have marveled at your work for some time. Your talents are very great . I could only wish to understand how to carve something like this or any of your other work. I think it is excellent work!

Another beautiful work. I like this guy he seems to be happy and courteous. I don’t understand the shoes though. Maybe I don’t get the term “Bast”.
Please excuse my ignorance, but could you elaborate on who this guy is? Is he a shoe maker/seller?
What kind of hat is he wearing?
What is a bast shoe?
Thank you for sharing your talent with us. I always look forward to your next carving.
