This unit is for a fellow in North Carolina. Gibson style reverse Firebird body, done in purpleheart and black walnut. The pickguard is kingwood. It features gold and black hardware, a Tele style neck with a Firebird headstock with obligatory kingwood inlay and purple paint finish, my Tsunami SUT pickup package for five distinct tones, and a lot of heartache on this one.

The body is finished in 12+ coats of hand rubbed Tru-Oil, the headstock is done in 10 coats of nitro lacquer, polished, and the neck body is two coats of Tru-Oil to just give it a little slide for your hand, but keep the woody feel going. Number 55 for me. Whew! Now, on to number 56, which will be another guitar shaped like Tennessee in black walnut and old oak.

Beautiful work! Building my own guitar is something I’ve always wanted to do, i can only hope when that day comes I can build something half as nice!
