I made this project while in the middle of a much larger project waiting for glue and finish to dry!!
I just started grabbing small scraps laying around and my only inspiration was a lid design I had seen on here previously.

I didnt copy it completely I added a few different details.

I will add burgundy flocking to the interior once the finish has dried..

Woods are

Sipo (sometimes called Utile)
Zebrano
Wenge
bottom is hickory and the corners are splined miter joints and the splines are made out of hard maple

Nice design. The grain on the handle really plays with your eye and fools you into thinking it isn’t straight. I like it.

Wow! Colors are beautiful and the finish is flawless. Like the design especially the handles. Great job!
