This is the Cutting Board I made for the surgeon who worked on my heart. I just found out the doctors office doesn’t allow the staff to receive gifts, so I will just put them up for sale. I know the pattern is “busy”, but I did that on purpose because the surgeon is always busy. It is 15” x 10-1/4×1-1/2. I made it from Black Walnut; Sugar Maple; Paduck; Marblewood; Hickory; Lyptus; Canarywood; Purpleheart; Black Locust; Flaked White Oak; Shedua. Thanks for looking.

beautiful board, you should get with the surgeon and tell him that this is for sale for one dollar and he would like to sell it to him…no one said what price you have to sell things for….i would find a way to get it to him if possible…but, if not…..it sure is a nice board…grizz

First off I’m glad you feeling better and OK. I also agree, were in a sad state when you can’t give a gift to someone. Its not like you got the surgrey for free. I gave my Knee Surgeon a gift. So I would sell it to him for a dollar like metioned above. Thats a great idea….. Great board

Thanks for the idea Grizz. I will have to find a way of giving it to him for one dollar.

Very nice looking board and idea. It’s funny, I’m doing the same for the surgeon who’s operated on my back three times. He’s a hobby chef and requested solid Purple Heart. Ok, your the boss.

Very Nice Don, what Colors!!! Neat- symmetrical grain patterns from side to side.

Beautiful board. Totally love it. I think Grizzman’s idea is great. Why don’t you just call the surgeon and ask if you can buy him a coffee or meet him for lunch because you want to discuss something personal and tell him the situation, charge him $1 and give him a receipt? I am sure he takes breaks and eats lunch.

The old superstition that you never give a knife to a friend because it “will cut the friendship” has people “paying” the smallest coin in return around much of the World and is not a quantum leap away from Grizzman’s idea. Go for it and good luck.
